Best Day Ever Morganton NCOver the past month, I have been working on two messages that I am so excited to present at the upcoming Life, Leadership & Laughter conference in Morganton, North Carolina.

Just imagine:

I can’t wait to meet the team at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge in person who have pulled this event together. They are genuine leaders and I am certain they are ready to have the Best Day Ever on October 27 – which happens to be MY BIRTHDAY…how perfect is that?

Cheers to a day filled with laughter and discovery through sharing stories and celebrating with new friends!

  1. The women’s leadership conference today was fabulous! It was “the best day ever!” I sponsored a table (we were table 2, the table of friends) for a few young and not-so-young women who work at Grace Ridge Retirement Community (owned by CHS Blue Ridge). Our vision at Grace Ridge is “where dreams and expectations are reality” because we believe we never get too old to dream. We are making dreams become reality every day. After today’s conference our social worker renamed our Director of Life Enrichment “Director of Best Days Ever!”
On a personal note, I would love to have at least three of your mommaversary cards…. (to send to each of my children next year on the birthdays of each of their oldest child) they were all gone when I went by the table–I had a finance committee meeting to get to and wasn’t able to stay for the refreshments and fellowship. I have always thought mom should be the one to celebrate the most on a child’s birthday… after all, she’s the one who remembers the day more than anyone else! Before my mom’s dementia advanced, I either called her or traveled to her for the day on my birthday to celebrate her being my mom. You’re mommaversary card idea is awesome.
